The Worldly Church And The Churchy World
(or the disgusting Trinity Broadcasting Network)

By David J. Stewart

2nd Timothy 4:3, “For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears.”

As the churches become more worldly, so also is the world becoming more churchy. In these last days we're hearing hard-core rockers professing faith in Christ, while still screaming to demonic music. Homosexuals and witches are becoming ordained ministers. Alex Van Halen (drummer for the satanic hard rock band Van Halen) is an ordained Catholic minister, performing weddings and funerals for Rock 'N' Roll family and friends. Churches are calling ordained lesbians to be their pastor. We are seeing apostate shocking websites like Christian Lesbian Living. Sickening Country singer Carrie Underwood professes to love Jesus while supporting same-sex marriage. She's a liar! Can God still bless America? Why should He?

I heard some really beautiful southern gospel music on the Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN) this week. I play pedal steel guitar and love Country sounding music, but it sickens me when ecumenicals use it to make money and exploit the name of Jesus. What makes me sick is that TBN is completely devoid of the Doctrine Of Christ. They bring in some southern gospel group, fill a stadium, and here comes millions of dollars!!!

Someone once asked me to write a review on the children's The Picture Bible. At first it seemed nice, but something was wrong, something was missing! Then I realized that the Doctrine Of Christ was completely missing. There was no mention in the story of Jesus' birth about the virgin birth. There was no mention in the story of Jesus' life about His sinless perfection. There was no mention that Jesus was God in every way, the Godhead incarnate (in the flesh). Children need to learn these doctrines as soon as they can understand even in the slightest way, able to read and look at pictures. TBN is like The Picture Bible, speaking about everything except the Doctrine Of Christ.

2nd John 1:9, “Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.”

There's a fine line between faith and apostasy. TBN has learned what works and what doesn't to raise money. Their goal is to make money, lots and lots of money. I've learned over the years that you can't trust anything based in California, where TBN is headquartered. Many of your cults, scams and money-grabbing media companies originate in California. TBN uses movies, music, singing and selective portions of the Bible to appeal for money from weary hearts, afflicted souls and broken lives.

TBN only invites guest speakers who speak a non-offensive message, avoiding stepping on any other religion's toes and giving the shallow appearance that they love and seek after God. I can start a radio show that only talks about how awesome God is and the money will flow in like a river from naive people who think they love God, but are woefully ignorant of the Scriptures. They don't truly love God, for if they did they would love the Scriptures!!! Our text verse in 2nd Timothy 4:3 says, “For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears.” They will NOT tolerate SOUND DOCTRINE from the Bible. They will NOT come to church to hear a preacher who preaches THE TRUTH!!! That's why few people will tolerate my website! Most people go away offended.

Listen to TBN and you'll hear a bunch of religious lingo that appeals to the world's religious masses, leaving off the Doctrine Of Christ. The virgin birth of Jesus offends unsaved people. The bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead on the third day offends unsaved people. The sinless life of Christ offends unsaved people. The teaching of the deity of Jesus (i.e., that He came as almighty God in the flesh) offends unsaved people. The teaching that Jesus' literal, physical, precious blood washes our sins away offends unsaved people. The teaching that Jesus is the only begotten Son of God (there are no others) offends unsaved people. But as born-again Christian believers we BELIEVE the Doctrine Of Christ!!! We are born-again by receiving the gospel as full-payment for OUR SINS. The gospel is that Jesus DIED, was BURIED and miraculously RESURRECTED after three days from the dead (1st Corinthians 15:1-4).

A group of false prophets were corrupting the Jews, errantly teaching that a person had to be physically circumcised to be saved...

Acts 15:1, “And certain men which came down from Judaea taught the brethren, and said, Except ye be circumcised after the manner of Moses, ye cannot be saved.”

The apostle Peter exposed them as false prophets. Anyone who adds to the gospel is corrupting the gospel.

Joyce Meyer Says Husband Received Holy Spirit While Using Potty

Speaking of false prophets, Joyce Meyer is about as big a fake as they come. I heard her speaking on TBN today (June of 2013) and she said that her husband received the Holy Spirit while using the potty (toilet) at age 18. Joyce Meyer has issues! Why would she even say something stupid like that, not to mention embarrassing her husband in public? The TV camera turned and focused upon her husband in the audience as soon as she embarrassed him. He didn't look too pleased. Too much information Joyce! That's the low-life quality of her so-called preaching. God banned women from the pulpit for a good reason, and Joyce Meyer vindicates God every time she opens her mouth and makes a fool of herself.

After Meyer's heresy, then apostate Creflo Dollar (what a name for a greedy minister... DOLLAR) taught more garbage theology on his show. It's one freak sideshow after another, all big-time greedy televangelists!!!

Apostates sing about the grace and glory of God. They sing about God's goodness and love. They cry, testify, laugh on stage and look into the camera with a gleam in their eye. They make it all look so grand and like they're really praising the Lord. The average immature Christian believer doesn't see anything wrong with it all. That little phone number continually on TBN's television screen is to ask callers for a donation. It's not just music they use, but also religious films and apostate televangelists. Anything to bring in the dough!

Can Bible Believing Christians And Catholics Truly Walk Together?

By Steve Lumbley

“In recent years we have seen a concerted effort on the part of many protestant leaders to minimize the doctrinal differences between the Roman Catholic Church and Protestantism. People like James Dobson of Focus on the Family, Charles Colson of Prison Fellowship Ministries, Pat Robertson of CBN, and Paul Crouch of TBN have assured their followers that the Catholic Church has changed. Many of these men have either signed or endorsed the heretical Evangelicals and Catholics Together document that attempts to unite these two groups on the basis of certain beliefs held in common.

We have been told that we have nothing to fear from Rome and that the leopard has changed his spots. Today’s Catholic Church, they say has nothing in common with the church that carried out the inquisition and sponsored the crusades. Sadly, most Bible believing Christians today know nothing of the history of the reformation or the facts that led many of our forefathers to flee from Catholicism.

I was reminded recently that serious doctrinal differences remain between Protestants and Catholics by a story from the Catholic News Agency. It seems that two Catholic Priests in Phoenix Arizona has been excommunicated for their establishment of and leadership in an “opposing ecclesial community.”

According to the story:

Monsignor Dale Fushek, and Father Mark Dippre……  founded the non-denominational Praise and Worship Center, which meets Sundays at the Fiesta Fountains Recreation Center in Mesa.

Their meetings regularly draw 250 to 300 people. The priests’ 90-minute services begin at 10 am each Sunday and feature much music but do not include sacraments. Reportedly, the priests have repeatedly said their services are not to be considered “Catholic” in any way.

“They always claim that they are not doing something in opposition to any denomination, but they are always holding their worship services at a time that coincides with a lot of Catholic Masses.” Jim Dwyer, a Diocese of Phoenix spokesman, told the East Valley Tribune.

It is also interesting to note that Monsignor Fushek is awaiting trial on seven misdemeanor counts including contributing to the delinquency of a minor, indecent exposure and assault. But these allegations are not the reason he is being excommunicated.  His crime according to the church is that he is part of a worship service that does not hold to Catholic doctrine.

A spokesperson for the diocese said that Phoenix Bishop Olmsted continues to express “grave concern” for Catholics who may be “misled or confused” by the priests’ actions. The statement encouraged Catholics not to attend or support the Praise and Worship Center and reminded Catholics that “the ultimate form of praise and worship is and always will be the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass.”

There is no substitution for the graces received at Mass and no prayer more edifying,” the diocese said.

There you have it in black and white. The official position of the Catholic Church remains that there is no grace (i.e., no salvation) outside the ritual of the Mass.

Bible believing Christians need to understand that Catholic’s are being deceptive when they claim that salvation is by grace alone. They do believe in salvation by grace but in their view, grace can only be dispensed by and through the Roman Catholic Church.

When Peter preached to the crowd on the day of Pentecost it says that the hearers were “pricked in their heart” and asked Peter “what shall we do” to be saved.

What did Peter tell them? Did he say ‘receive the sacraments of grace from an ordained ecclesiastical priest and you shall be saved’ No, he said this:

…Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call. Acts 2:38-39

That is the requirement for salvation. Repent and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. That promise remains in effect today for Peter said that the promise of salvation by faith in the name of Jesus was given to you and to your children, and to all that are afar off. Even those of us who were “far off” in time can rely on that promise.

This is no minor doctrinal difference. It goes to the very heart of the gospel message. Is salvation truly a gift of God by faith or is it dispensed by and through and ecclesiastical hierarchy of men?

For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; 1Timothy 2:5

The Bible tells us that there is only one mediator between God and man and that mediator is Jesus Christ. It is not a priest, a Bishop, or a Pope. It is not even a pastor, an apostle, or a prophet. It is only Through Christ Himself that grace may be found leading to eternal life. Those who deny this truth deny the faith.

But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. 2Peter 2:1

The idea that the grace of God may only be apportioned by a priest of the Roman church is a damnable heresy which causes men to deny the Lord that bought them.

If you have bought into this lie, thinking that the Catholic Church is just another denomination I would urge you to reconsider. The Church of Rome has not changed. They still deny Christ and insist that grace can only come through their ritual of the Mass which sacrifices Christ anew every day. Their ultimate purpose is to bring all Protestants back into their harlot church. Don’t let any man mislead you. No true Christian can walk with those who fail to hold to the most basic foundations of the faith.

Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? 2 Corinthians 6:14

Modernism

Modernists are False Prophets! Modernism is religious liberalism! These are the people who claim to know God, or to be spiritual; but, they deny one or more of the fundamental doctrines of the Christian faith. Others aren't sure if there is a God, but they claim to be spiritual. A perfect example is the Unitarian Universalism Church, whose members are 18% Atheist. The organization boasts of having no doctrinal statement whatsoever. They fully deny the Word of God; yet, claim to worship God.

Another Modernist was Martin Luther King Jr. who denied the deity of Christ; yet, falsely claimed to be a Christian.

Another modernist was C.S. Lewis who believed the Bible contains myths, believed in purgatory, believed being born again was a lifelong process, taught works salvation, denied the penalty of Hell, etc. C.S. Lewis was an unsaved heretic who fooled many people into thinking he was a Christian.  Beware of Modernism!

In these perilous times of apostasy, let us diligently contend for the faith as believers. Let's be aggressive soulwinners, because we won't have a chance to witness to lost sinners anymore once we get to Heaven. Let's stay on our knees in prayer and live in the Word of God daily. “I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing ... Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples” (John 15:5,8).
